Geo-Locational Pricing

Certain companies prefer to price their products according to their customers location. For example, a product could have one price in US Dollars for North American customers, and an equivalent price in Euros for customers from the Eurozone.

By tracking the users IP address, and matching it against our databases, it is possible to determine the physical location of the user (on a country, region or city-basis). This information can then be used by the business logic layer to determine the most relevant prices for that customer.

This sort of geo-targeting is put to effective use by the largest online retailers and businesses. By looking at prices in the currency most relevant to them, users are able to eliminate the guesswork and make quick purchase decisions.
